You know those little arm floaties that keep kids afloat? Well, I think God gives us friends and family to encircle us and hold us up and He is the "air" that fills us to help each other as well! You are one of my favorite "floaties"! Love you!

I agree that pursuing peace takes effort and discipline. I am currently hard at work, trying to change old, destructive patterns of thinking so that they are life-giving patterns that line up with God's Word. It's difficult, but the end result will be worth it!

My Roget's Thesaurus shows "gushing" as "outpouring, profusion, abundance, cloud of words" - what I am personally grateful to experience. We comply with tithing as a "test principle" - our best time in the morning, the first 10% of the fruit of our labor, our "utmost for His Highest" - and God opens to us His window of abundant blessings beyond our fondest dreams! Sara, haven't you been seeing not only with your senses but with your soul or self(mind+emotions+will) tenderly embraced by the Spirit of our Gread Dad? Being of kindred spirit, I joyfully and praisefully confide with you I have similarly abundant blessings - "gushing" as prompted by the Holy Spirit in all areas of my living. I've encouraged widows to be bold to ask their family members about their life-and-death issues - and one shy widow confided to me she did it today! Thanks for your encouragement!

Uprooting is a process that leads to restoring new plants we hope would have stable and strong roots - the roots of Spiritual gifts: Wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, fear of God, knowledge and piety ... for us to be teachable and compliant and walking humbly with our God. What a set of gifted virtues to make us docile. And fruitfulness is expected. In green foliage and colorful flowers! They are the perfecting nature of the Fruit of the Spirit with its wonderful sets of three-some to complete our relationship with God, with neighbors, and with self ... beautifully expressed in Micah 6:8: To be just, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God. What an "amagracious" Father!
(I crafted that word from "amazing mercy, awesome grace, with the first three letters "Ama" as father in Pilipino, derived from the Spanish "amor" for love)

The "Life Point" in Everyday Life Bible, edited by Joyce Meyer: "The prophets were mouthpieces for God. They were called to speak God's words to people, situations, cities, dry bones, mountains, or whatever God told them to speak to. To fulfill their God-ordained mission, they had to be submitted to the Lord, and their mouths had to be consecrated to Him. "

Isaiah is saying what God wanted him to say; so, it's virtually God speaking. Isaiah 55:10 is encouraging to us when we doubt if our "words for God" would mean anything to our family and friends. We are assured just as rain and snow come down from heaven, they will not return empty without benefit - the earth is watered to be fruitful. We trust that the Word we say with our life and our mouth will surely do its job of giving life to glorify God ... now, sooner or later ... but it surely will!
