WHEN: Wednesdays, July 15, 22, 29, August 5 & 12; 6:30-7:30 AM an Saturday, August 15; 7:00-9:00 AM
WHERE: The Schaffer backyard at 1383 Ben Nevis Ave, Broomfield, CO 80020.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring your own chair, coffee, Bible and notebook/pen. I’ll have additional study materials available online. You can print and bring those if you like.
WHO: This is an open study for any woman interested in getting up early and getting herself to my house!
OVERALL: We will start on time and keep it to one hour out of respect for your time, work, family, etc. Masks are not required, but of course feel free to wear one. By God’s grace, we will grow in the love and knowledge of the Lord. It’s my prayer you leave each week informed, uplifted and inspired. The final meeting on Saturday, August 15 will include the regular one hour study and additional time to chat and connect.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Logistically, when you arrive, please go through the open gate on the west side of my garage into the backyard. It’s fairly shady, but you may want a sun hat or sunglasses. The backyard is grass, and we’ll try to remember to turn the sprinklers off on Wednesday mornings. The study is friendly and informal–please come comfortably dressed.
As for the study itself, we will be looking at Isaiah both broadly and deeply and talking through several main ideas (most likely) including:
- The Problem of Sin
- Jesus Christ–The Solution for Salvation
- Worthwhile Worship
- God’s Arms of Justice and Comfort
- Inert Idols vs. The Living LORD
- The Coming Salvation
You can get as in depth as you would like. In addition to our weekly gatherings, I will give resources for daily study, Scripture memorization and further reading–all optional of course.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
