Just A Little Faith
Up To Know Good on Wednesday
July 12, 2006
In college I had a roommate who was a part of a prayer group every night. For awhile I also went with her, but then I started to hang out with some other people. While it wasnt necessarily in my best interest to be a part of this other group, my roommate said nothing. She simply went to the prayer meeting and met me back at the dorm room each evening.
Do Good - Who is watching you? Children? Friends? Family? Strangers? As you make choices today, consider what is in your and their best interests.
After a couple of months, my roommates faith and good influence began to rub off. Though she said nothing with words, her consistent actions spoke loudly and clearly. I stopped spending time with the other party of people and went back to the prayer group. I didnt have to go, but there I found the acceptance that I had been looking for all along.
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. Romans 14:1. Read more.
Jesus, its so tempting to think that we are individuals without much influence. Help me to realize that my faith and good choices are good for others, too.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
