Just A Little Faith
Up To Know Good on Thursday
July 13, 2006
I was writing a new song, and for weeks I only had four lines finished. I loved the idea in the lyrics and believed wholeheartedly that God had inspired those few short phrases. After several weeks passed without any more ideas for the piece, I started to get impatient. I demanded to know one morning, God, are we going to finish this song or not? The next day I came down with the flu. I stayed home from work and composed the rest of the song in just a few hours.
Do Good - Are you feeling impatient with Gods timing in your life? Are you trying to figure things out on your own? Pray about your concerns by writing them down today. Leave space to add Gods answers to you later.
After the song was finished, I apologized to God for my impatience. I learned that if God is truly inspiring something, He will see it to its end. I do not need to be anxious or in a hurry to figure it out myself. As I continue to apply this lesson to my life, I can enjoy myself and not stress over unanswered prayers.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5. Read more in Proverbs 3:1-6.
God, I bring my concerns to You today believing that You already have everything figured out!
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
