Purpose
Up To Know Good on Tuesday

Single Rose

In early 2005 a woman named Terri Schiavo was in the news because of her controversial health situation. Brain-damaged from cardiac arrest years before, she was completely unable to care for herself. Her husband was petitioning the courts to have her feeding tube removed. A right-to-life and right-to-die debate ensued across America. I was fascinated by the entire situation because whatever side one was on, it was evident that Terry’s life had purpose. With no ability to speak herself, Terry had people talking about the sensitive subjects of life and death. Clearly, her life had meaning.

Do Good - Take several deep breaths. Then, for just a few moments consider the value you have just by being you. Throughout your day, remind yourself that if you could never accomplish, attain, or achieve one more thing, your life would have just as much significance because you are.

It is easy to feel insignificant in this big world sometimes. If, however, God used a woman who could not speak or show affection to get a nation communicating and reaching out to one another, He certainly has a plan for our lives, too.

“[God] has saved us and called us to a holy life=97not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace.” 2 Timothy 1:9. Read 2 Timothy 1:8-12.

God, thank You that I am important and lovable just because I am.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

Sara

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!

Blessings,
Sara
