Purpose - Up To Know Good on Wednesday

Up To Know Good on Wednesday

sheet music

A number of years ago I was the choir director for a group of eight adults. At rehearsal, each person learned their own notes. Then we practiced the song together. Though each individual voice was beautiful, nothing compared to the powerful effect they created collectively. All eight voices blended into one beautiful sound, and their powerful, unified musical expression often brought tears and goose bumps to their listeners.

Do Good - Take a moment to consider how your efforts fit into the larger picture. Write down how you contribute to a greater purpose in your work, home and community.

Imagine the chaos if each singer wanted to perform their own song. Instead, they agreed to follow my direction and stay, literally, on the same page. Even in rehearsals we were often moved by the beauty of the music when everyone sang together.

“The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose,” I Corinthians 3:8a. Click here to read I Corinthians 3:3-9.

Jesus, sometimes we get caught up in trying to sing our own song. Help us to remember that we are most effective when follow Your direction and align our purpose with Yours.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

Sara

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!

Blessings,
Sara
