Purpose
Up To Know Good on Friday
July 21, 2006

I was talking with Pete, a friend who had recently retired. Pete said that he found he wasnt prepared for all of the stress he encountered from this life change. As he talked to others, he found that many people were disillusioned by retirement, often finding that without work, they werent clear about their purpose.
Do Good - Today, give everyday tasks such as driving, cooking, working, etc. divine purpose by doing them all with kindness and love.
Thankfully purpose isnt about a vocation or skill or goal. In every stage and part of life, we are called to love God and people. That is the one purpose we all share.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:30-31. Click to read Mark 12:28-34.
God, thank You for the purpose You give us. Help us to remember that above all, we are here to love You and others.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
