Get Up
Up To Know Good on Monday

Imagine: It’s right after a nationwide election and no one can find the new President! Everyone (at least in the associated political party) is anxious to see, congratulate and celebrate with the newly elected official. As members of the security detail start to look, the gathering of people ask the campaign manager, “Has the President arrived yet?” Faced with a direct question, he admits, “Yes. You’ll find your new leader crouched down over there in the coat room!”

Do Good - Are you hiding from responsibilities? First, get up! Next, ask God for courage to take each new step.

In a mad rush, the people run over and drag the insecure leader out of the coat room and into the party. Now surrounded by a crowd, the President remains timidly quiet. The people however, begin to chant the campaign slogan and the celebration begins.

“So they inquired further of the Lord, ‘Has the man come here yet?’ And the Lord said, ‘Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage.’” I Samuel 10:22. Read the story of Saul becoming King of Israel in I Samuel 10:17-25.

Jesus, forgive me for hiding from the position You’ve given me. I want to stand up and face my responsibilities today with Your help.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

Sara

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!

Blessings,
Sara
