Who Is He?
Up To Know Good on Thursday
August 03, 2006
Growing up we had a huge peony bush in our backyard. Every year when the large pink flowers would blossom, my mom would collect several of them and make a beautiful centerpiece for the dining room table. I loved the look of those soft plush blooms. After a few days they would brown, and Mom would toss them out. The bush, however, kept producing more flowers, so the old bouquet would quickly be replaced with a fresh one.
Do Good - Buy someone a bouquet of flowers or a plant today. Attach a note that says, I love to see Gods work blossoming in your life. God loves you, and so do I!
That peony plant has been in my parents yard for the last thirty years. My mom has pruned and replanted it, and the bush continues to produce flowers each spring. Jesus promises to give us the same on-going productivity in our lives if we stay connected to Him as our Source.
I am the true vine. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. John 15:1, 4. Read more about this beautiful metaphor.
Jesus, thanks for being my Source of Life. I cant wait to see what beauty will blossom next as I grow closer to You.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
