Who Is He?
Up To Know Good on Friday
August 04, 2006

Though I attended college years ago, I still have a very high opinion of my music professors. In the many hours of choir rehearsals, voice lessons and private practice each week, I felt encouraged and nurtured by my instructors. After graduation, I met with my choir director. I started to call him Doctor, and he immediately corrected me. He said I was now a music teacher too, and we were peers. I should call him by his first name.
Do Good - As you pray today, talk with God as your friend. Be aware of how this changes the approach, focus, and content of your prayers.
Though it felt awkward at first, I did start using his first name. In the years after college I had the opportunity to work with him several times. My respect for him only increased as we became colleagues and friends.
I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15. Read John 15:12-17.
Jesus, I have deep respect for You. You are God. You are my Savior, my Answer, and my Source of Life. Thanks that I may also call You Friend!
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
