Run
Up To Know Good on Thursday
August 17, 2006
My second year of teaching I was the music director for the middle school musical. The drama teacher and I posted the cast list while our students were in their last class of the day. As soon as the dismissal bell rang, the students ran from the classrooms towards the wall to search for their names on the cast list. Some students shouted with joy while others quietly stepped aside once they found their name. The drama teacher and I just stayed out of the way!
Do Good - If you are physically able,
run. Run up or downstairs in your house or office.
Run and take a ride on your shopping cart. Have a
race to the car in the parking lot. Notice how you
feel after running even for a short
distance.
If you cant run right now, how
else can you move and get your adrenaline pumping?
Have fun and be creative!
Of course its against the rules to run in a school hallway. Its also out of the norm to run as an adult. Sometimes, however, when we get great news, we just need to abandon ourselves and run like a kid to investigate! What a great feeling to be alive and to feel that rush of life through us.
Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened. Luke 24:12. Read about Peter's reaction to the resurrection.
Jesus, its so easy to be complacent in our lives. Today as we move, get our hearts pumping and our spirits excited about life!
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
