Prayer - Up To Know Good on Friday

Up To Know Good on Friday

September 01, 2006

Table set for a meal

It had been one of those busy, stressful weeks. My husband and I had been on opposite schedules; he worked everyday and I was in meetings every evening. Finally, on Sunday we were able to be together. Throughout the day, we talked about mundane things like our finances, our schedules, etc. We also spent time just holding hands and smiling at one another. During our meals, we discussed issues that were important to us in our work and our lives. It was a rich and wonderful day.

Do Good - Have you been busy this week? Make time this weekend to reconnect with friends and family. Set aside enough time to talk about everything from the weather to what’s really important in your lives.

I love to spend time with my husband. I am interested in his point of view on things, and I know I can only discover that through time and conversation. In the same way, God wants to connect with us. Let’s also make time to regularly sit and converse with Him.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12. Click to read Paul's encouraging words to the Romans.

God, thank You that I may connect with You in a small way through these emails each day. I’m interested in Your point of view on my life and the world. Please share this day and weekend with me.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
