Up To Know Good on Wednesday

Food in a grocery bag

As I drove to the event, I noticed that I wasn’t feeling very well physically or emotionally. I was the keynote speaker, but I wasn’t in the mood to give a talk. When I arrived, however, I decided to set my personal issues aside and focus on my audience. At the end of the meeting, I greeted everyone at the door. Many people told me how life changing this talk had been for them. I was moved and humbled by their comments.

Do Good - Contact your local food bank and find out how, where, and when you can donate food. Ask what items they really need this week. Add those items to your weekly grocery list and plan extra time after your shopping trip to deliver them.

Like on the day of my talk, serving others often seems inconvenient and uncomfortable. I hope that I may grow beyond that feeling someday, but either way, God’s request and promises to us are clear. If we take care of the physical and spiritual needs of others, God will care for us.

“and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” Isaiah 58:10. Read this amazing promise from God.

God, help us to be willing to truly serve You by meeting the needs of others. Thank You for the blessing that we receive by doing so.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

Sara

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!

Blessings,
Sara
