Light - Up To Know Good on Friday

Up To Know Good on Friday

September 15, 2006

At a garage sale several years ago, I found two lamps for only $10. They were a little bit out of style, but with some paint and fresh lampshades, I knew they would work well in my apartment. When I went shopping for new shades, I was amazed at the endless variety of sizes, colors, shapes, and styles. Some were very elegant with muted colors and sleek lines. Others were funkier with bright colors and embellishments of beads or fringes.

Do Good - Whenever you see a lamp, remember that you are uniquely designed to share the Light with others. Let the light of God consciously shine through your gifts today.

We are each as originally designed as those lampshades. The Light of God shines through each of us in a unique, beautiful way to show the world a different facet of His character. Let’s allow God’s light to shine through us onto others today.

“He himself [John the Baptist] was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.” John 1:8. Read about John's unique way of revealing God.

God, thank You that I can uniquely show others the Light of the whole world because of how You created me.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
