Positive Point of View
Up To Know Good on Thursday

boy with tools

Joel and Theresa were telling Myron and me about their children. “Our youngest son destroys things in our house,” they lamented. “Most recently he took apart our screen door and a small appliance.” Without hesitation Myron said, “He needs a workshop!” As a born engineer, Myron understood their son’s need to take things apart and understand how they worked. He didn’t see this boy as destructive, just curious.

Do Good - Consider a situation that seems overwhelming to you. Take a few minutes to meditate and ask God to give you a fresh, positive perspective.

Immediately Theresa smiled. “You’re saying we just need to give him a place where it’s okay to destroy things?” Myron nodded. He admitted that it might not completely save their home, but it would certainly help focus their son’s activities. Even more encouraging was the new positive perspective they had on their son and his gifts.

“Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.’” Numbers 13:30. Read about the positive and negative points of view of the Israelite spies.

God, some people and situations in my life seem difficult to overcome. Please give me a fresh point of view on them today.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
