Up To Know Good on Friday
September 29, 2006
Author and speaker Corrie Ten Boom said that when she was really worried, she would look in the mirror and say, This situation is too difficult for God to handle. As soon as she said it, she would start to laugh. After all, what is too big for God? Facing her doubt head on, she dispelled the lies that her worried emotions were trying to tell her.
Do Good - Stand in front of a mirror and say aloud, This situation is too much for God to handle. Be specific about your circumstances. Notice your reaction as you say it.
Not only do we need to confront the lie that our situation is too hard for God to handle, we also need to start telling ourselves the truth. God IS able to manage the circumstances that worry us. With His help, so are we. When I get overwhelmed and try Ms. Ten Booms exercise, I always end up laughing too.
So be content with who you are, and don't put on airs. God's strong hand is on you; he'll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you. I Peter 5:6-7. Read more about leadership and promotion.
God, thank You that nothing is too difficult for You to handle.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
