Sensing God
Up To Know Good on Tuesday
October 17, 2006
Mmmm - smells good! Myron announced as he came into the dining room. It was Sunday morning, and we were about to enjoy one of our favorite small luxuries - cinnamon rolls. The sweet aroma of cinnamon and sugar had filled the main level of our home, and my mouth began to water a bit as I spread the frosting over the warm soft rolls. A few minutes later, as we sat at the table, I half-closed my eyes and took my first sticky, delicious bite. A bit of the frosting ran out of the corner of my mouth as I savored the delectably sweet roll melting on my tongue.
Do Good - Savor your food and beverages today. Ask God to reveal a new aspect of Himself during these experiences.
The sweet taste of cinnamon rolls on a lazy weekend morning is truly a luxury I enjoy. As I sit with sticky fingers and a messy face, in a mundane but profound way it reveals to me an aspect of Gods goodness. It is a bit strange to think about tasting the goodness God, but thats what the Bible encourages us to do. As we enjoy tasting food and beverages today, lets also enjoy Gods tangible presence with us in those flavors.
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8. Click here to read more.
God, You are so good - I want to taste and see You in the delicious flavors I enjoy today.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
