Just A Little Faith
Up To Know Good on Friday

November 24, 2006

As a little girl I would fold my arms and nod my head like the star on “I Dream of Jeannie.” In the show, magical things would happen when she did that. She was transported from one place to another. Her whole house was instantly cleaned, and people even behaved differently. Hoping for similiar results, I would stand in the doorway of my messy room, fold my arms, close my eyes and nod my head with a silent wish of “Be clean!” It never worked.

Do Good - Look at this period “.” for a moment. Even if your faith is about that small, Jesus says you have the power to tear down problems and obstacles in your life. The key is focusing not on the dot, but on God.

It’s no surprise that I couldn’t pick up my room with a simple sentence and goofy gestures. Sometimes faith in God seems that far-fetched. If I ask, “Will God really clean up this mess in my life?” will He? Maybe not instantly, but He will answer you. Just know that as you fold your hands, bow your head and speak that the power does not come from your actions or faith, but from the One in whom you believe.

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move.” Matthew 17:20.

Jesus, I only have this much faith: “.” Still, I believe; not in the power of my faith, but in You!

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
