Seeing Christ at Christmas
Up To Know Good on Thursday
December 21, 2006
I looked at the picture on the box and still wasnt sure what it was. I only knew that Myron had requested a radio speaker for Christmas, and this was it. Though I wasnt sure what I was buying, it was on his list, complete with the specific part and order number, and he was really excited about how he could use it. After giving it a lot of thought, I decided to spend my Christmas budget on this one gift rather than getting several smaller ones for him. As he happily opened the box at Christmas, I knew I had made the right choice.
Do Good - Consider the one, ideal gift you could give to each person on your Christmas list.
Myron made a similar choice and gave me one gift last year. He had stopped at a jewelry store and purchased a beautiful sapphire ring. What a great feeling it was to give and then receive such perfect gifts. Sometimes I get caught up in thinking I need to get a lot of presents for special people in my family. Then I remember that Jesus received only one precious gift from the Magi and nothing but a visit from the shepherds. Lets give gifts of quality not just quantity to our loved ones this year.
Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts, Matthew 2:11. Read about the visit of the Magi.
Jesus, when we start to get stressed about giving gifts at Christmas, help us to remember the Magi each gave you one, perfect gift. Thanks for being the One, perfect gift for each of us.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
