Daddy's Voice - Up To Know Good

Daddy's Voice
Up To Know Good

August 29, 2007

Baby and Daddy

At 5:45 on Saturday, February 17th, Myron and I welcomed our daughter, Kira Ann, into the world. Almost immediately after she was born, the nurses brought her over to the warming table to be measured and cleaned up. Like a strong, healthy baby, Kira began to scream as they worked on her.

Myron was standing by, and he said, "Kira, it's okay. Daddy's here." Immediately she stopped crying and turned towards him. She knew his voice; she knew him.

Pre-birth she heard daddy's voice in the distance and would move and kick in response to it. What a reassurance it was to hear that familiar sound loud and clear moments after entering this world.

When I pray, I often feel that God is speaking in a quiet voice directly to my spirit. I look forward to someday hearing Him loud and clear. Like Kira experienced, I believe I will stop crying and turn to just look at my Daddy. What a beautiful moment it will be for us to share.

Jesus said, "The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27. (Click here to read more.) Let's listen for that Voice of love and reassurance today, and when we hear it, follow.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

Sara

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!

Blessings,
Sara
