God Said Hurry
Up To Know Good on Monday

My mom, sister and I arrived early for the rally. One of the presidential candidates was making a campaign stop only fifty miles from our home, and at my insistent request, they agreed to join me. The stage and sound system were set up in the middle of the street, but few people had arrived. We took seats on the curb near the stage and waited. A few hours later large busses arrived and the candidates took the stage. Suddenly we were pushed back into the crowd and supporters and protesters with large signs obstructed our once clear view of the people we had waited hours to see.

Do Good - Spend time with God today. Go for a walk, write Him an email, eat lunch or take a break in a quiet place. Let’s hurry to spend a few minutes with God as we start this week.

Imagine my surprise when the presidential candidate came into the crowd and said, “Sara, I’d like to join you for lunch today.” Okay, I would have been surprised if he had asked, but that didn’t happen. I was just one in the crowd that day, but years ago, a man named Zaccheus was called by name when he attended a Jesus rally. In fact, Jesus even told Zach to hurry because He was anxious to spend time with him. Like Zach, when we start to look for Him, God also says to us, “Yes, hurry - I can’t wait to spend time with you today!”

“When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, ‘Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.’” Luke 19:5. Click here to read Zaccheus’ short story.

God, You’re more famous than any politician. Thanks for inviting me to spend time with You!

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
