God Said Hurry - Up To Know Good on Wednesday

God Said Hurry
Up To Know Good on Wednesday

January 10, 2007

greeting card

I let out a large sigh when I saw the red brake lights go on again. The car in front of me was slowing down at every curve in the road, and I was anxious to get home. I had been away for days and couldn’t wait to see my husband. Though we had stayed in touch each night on the phone, I longed to see him at the door with a welcoming hug and kiss. The car in front of me apparently had no such urgent and important agenda.

Do Good - Think about someone that you miss. Take a few minutes to write them a note. As you send it, think about the messages God sends when He misses you, too.

When I finally pulled into the driveway, Myron walked out the front door and greeted me on the front step with a huge bear hug. “Welcome home, Honey!” he said with a huge smile on his face and a familiar twinkle in his eye. I leaned into him, glad to be home.

Sometimes I find myself away from God. I don’t always consciously take these “vacations,” but when it happens, I start to feel a restlessness in my spirit. Like my anxiousness to reach my husband on the road, I start to feel a hunger to be intimately reunited with God. If we are feeling restless or hungry for that closeness with our Creator, let’s hurry back into the Spirit’s embrace today.

“Take me away with you=97let us hurry! Let the king bring me into his chambers.” Song of Songs 1:4. Read the beginning of this fiery love story.

Spirit, wrap me up in Your passionate love today.

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

Sara

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!

Blessings,
Sara
