God Said Hurry
Up To Know Good on Friday
January 12, 2007
A little boy was playing with some Legos as his mom talked with a car salesman. I was sitting in the waiting room of the dealership while some work was being done on my car. I watched the boy as he created a towering stack of small blocks. When he picked it up, it loomed above his head. Smiling at his accomplishment, he called for his mom. She didnt reply, so he set down the tower and went over by the desk where she was talking with the salesman. Mom, youve got to see this! he now said with more urgency.
Do Good - Tell at least one person today that God cares about them. As you are in conversation, ask God to guide your words and give you courage.*
With her son tugging at her arm, she looked at stack of Legos. Great job, honey! she praised him. He smiled and started a new project. I was impressed by the urgency that the little boy felt to share his creation with his mom. As adults, we become so polite that we rarely insist on others attention - at least not overtly and rarely about issues like spirituality. Yet we have Good News to share with a hurting world: God loves us and God cares about our day-to-day lives! Lets hurry to tell others about the love of God today.
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Matthew 28:8. Click here to read more. *Note - even though these women were afraid, they still hurried.
God, thank You for Your love. Give me courage to share it openly and generously with others today.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.
I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
