Laughter - Up To Know Good on Tuesday

Up To Know Good on Tuesday

clouds after a storm

Last February, news reporters happily told us about the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans. Though there remained a great deal of devastation from Hurricane Katrina, the nation was glad to see people happy and celebrating. It was one of the first times we saw hope and joy in the faces of those who had lost so much.

I could relate to the people having fun in New Orleans. After a storm hit my life years ago, the first time I felt like celebrating was also during a parade. The beautiful larger-than-life puppets, dancers and up-beat music made me smile. I found myself thanking God that I was alive in spite of the mess that I was living in. What a gift to learn to enjoy life in the aftermath of disaster.

“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to weep and a time to laugh.” Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4. Click to read this familiar poem.

God, thank You that after every storm comes a time for laughter!

Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
