Laughter
Up To Know Good on Friday
January 19, 2007

Several years ago, I was teaching one of my piano students about the note and key of G. About half way through the lesson, we began to alliterate our sentences. Gosh, thats great! I said after he finished a song. Golly, he said with a twinkle in his eye. Give it a go one more time, I suggested. He played the song again. Good going! I replied. He rolled his eyes and said, Good grief! I looked at him, and we started laughing out loud at ourselves.
Do Good - Be goofy during ordinary experiences today. It can be as simple as car dancing on your way to work or playing with the letter G!
This student regularly got frustrated during piano lessons. I often did something silly to help him ease his tension and learn. That day when we played with the letter G, we were both bent over laughing. Later when his mom picked him up, he told her that he had never laughed that hard in his life! What a great feeling that he could leave happily worn out from too much laughter. Plus - he now understood the key of G!
Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Psalm 126:2. Click here to read this joyful Psalm.
Jesus, thanks for all the FUN we can have if we are just willing to see and experience the silly side of life!
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
