The Beauty of Being
Up To Know Good on Thursday
February 01, 2007

We sprayed on the bug repellant and spread the old blanket out on the ground. It was the Fourth of July, and like every summer growing up, we were enjoying the family tradition of watching the local fireworks. As we waited for the sun to go down and the show to begin, we passed around sodas and snacks. We told stories and teased each other - happy to celebrate the holiday once again.
Do Good - At what times have you enjoyed the beauty of being? Take time to write down some memories and/or some ideas of places and times to simply be.
As soon as it got dark, several loud booms demanded our attention and stopped our noisy conversations. Moments later the sky lit up with large, beautiful sprays of light. During the fireworks display, everything else seemed to stop. It was a chance to literally sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of being.
He [Jesus Christ] came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Ephesians 2:17-18. Read more about receiving the peace of God.
Lord, as I look at You and spend time with You now, please soften me with Your peace and tenderness today.
Know Good. Do Good. Feel Good.

I pray that you have a great day as you experience and express God's love in fresh, real ways!
Blessings,
Sara
